Goal Achieved: Check Delivered$500,000 Youth Zone Commitment Achieved by Men's ClubMarch 3, 2008 -- Club President Mike Garrison presented Father Ennis with an over-sized check in the amount of $500,000 to signify the completion of the pledge made 5 years ago. Father Ennis was glowing when accepting the check and praised the hard work of the members, both past and present. President Mike made the announcement and presentation at each mass on the weekend of March 1-2. Each time Mike asked the past members, current members and potentially future members of the Men of Holy Family to stand in recognition of the work, time and dedication toward the goal. And, each time they were given a roaring round of applause of appreciation. While the youth Zone is part of the on-going building project, it has been the focus of the 5 year pledge of the Men's Club. The Men take special pride in being able to now watch the development of the Youth Zone and look to enhance it along the way. The focus of the Men of Holy Family on the Youth Zone as a targeted project has not lost its steam. The Visioning Committee has formed a new goal which will be announced in the coming weeks. The new goals will keep the needs of the Youth Zone in a primary focus along with the needs of the parish as the club determines its future fundraising abilities and goals.
