BIG THANKS for the Help on SaturdaySpecial Gathering of the Men's Club to Help a Member & Family in NeedApril 5, 2008 -- Today is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glade.
Message from Club President Mike Garrison: I wanted to send out a thank you to all of the members who showed up on Saturday at Jeff Glasser's house. I think at one point we had as many as 17 guys there at once. It was a great day for all. For those of you who missed Jon White as he left the ladder and climbed the tree to make that much needed last cut, or to see Tim Ducote walking the roof line in search of another gutter to clean, you will have to wait for the pictures on U-tube.
Bill, Jim and Ozzie as well as Tony and Hinson tackled some of the indoor items; Tim, Jon, Francisco, Don, John, Ken, Bruce, Gary, Tom, and myself dug in on the outside. Oh yea, there was two other guys (Darryl & Mike) who just kept showing up with a different truck every time they left, and who knows what they actually disposed of at the dump?
I wanted to give an extra thanks to Mike Borah for coordinating all of the events as well as the coffee and bagels in the morning. If I forgot anybody else who was there on Saturday, I do apologize. Oh yea, there was a surprise appearance by Ron C. and he actually worked I think he even had a blister or two before he left. It was great to get together to help a great family.
Remember Jeff and his family have a long road ahead of them and what we did that day is nothing compared to what all of us can do together by keeping them in our prayers. May the good Lord watch over them and continue to guide them on this road of recovery.
