Updated Need for your Prayers

Tony Sergio's Mother, Barbara Roeder

Dear Men of Holy Family,

      Please, when you have a moment, please say a prayer and ask our Lord to stay close to his devoted servant, Barbara Roeder, the mother of Tim and Tony Sergio. Barbara had an 8.5cm tumor in her colon removed this past Monday. It has been found to be cancerous. The cancer has spread into her lymphatic system, and she has a tough battle ahead. Barbara has always been so strong and virtually never been sick in 74 years, so she didn't feel any pain until last week. Now, she has so much pain with eating that she has lost 25 lbs. She needs prayers that she will be led to start eating again, so she can be released from the hospital and go home to begin her chemotherapy battle. She lives in Huntington Beach California, and your friend, my twin brother, Tim, is at mom's side at this moment. I will go to her side soon.

    Thank you, Men, for your prayers. That is the only way we can know we've done all we can. My mom is not as frightened as we might expect, because she has said to us since she was a younger woman that she knows she will go to the Lord when he calls her. Of all those I know, she has the strongest faith, a belief in her love of God and His plan for her life. We, her 12 children, 28 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many other family members, and so many co-workers at Disneyland, and are praying not to lose our Mother and friend.
